This is our portable hand-held refractometer that has been designed specifically for measuring  either Propylene Glycol (non-Toxic) or Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze (toxic) and Battery Fluid. You'll find many uses for this compact tool from checking the freeze point of heating system fluids to checking the fluid in your vehicle radiator and your battery’s performance. The refractometer will insure that the desired solution mix has been reached in HVAC systems to prevent freezing. In addition, it has automatic temperature compensation and will work any environment from 50ºF to 86ºF and features one knob calibration to ordinary tap water.
This a high quality instrument that retails for up to $120 and has been manufactured under the strict guidelines established under ISO 9001 Standards. It features a sturdy design made with an aluminum body (not plastic, beware of cheap copies). Measuring only six inches long it serves the need for HVAC technicians, plumbers and mechanics of being both durable and compact.
