OIL BURNER CODES

527 CMR 4.00
Firedragon Academy
has provided training on 527CMR4.00, the
Massachusetts Regulation, or Code, for oil burners, to over 36,000 Fire Inspectors,
oilheat technicians, attorneys and insurance companies since 1975. Our
firm has been the sole contractor to provide education for the oilheat service industry and
the Commonwealth's Department of Fire Services.
Firedragon Academy
is the sole custodian of the Checklist and
has been the only source of the course textbook, The
CMR 4.00 Guide© since 1995.
The Guide is now in it's Sixth Edition
(Color Cover) to reflect the changes of 2010 and is considered the standard for
installation and inspection purposes.
All 527CMR4.00
seminars conducted by the Firedragon Academy
now include the Guide. Also included in all seminars is a
copy of the industry accepted Checklist, Form 1
and Form 1A.
In
addition, we supply information and seminars to the Massachusetts
Firefighting Academy, the Fire Marshal's Office and many local Fire Departments
on the Regulation and we have been the sole contracted supplier on 527CMR4.00 to the Massachusetts State
Fire Marshal's Office since 2000.
Private sessions for Fire Departments, home inspectors, trade associations, oil companies, heating contractors, insurance companies, attorneys and others may include the Guide at a special reduced seminar rate. Please call us for more information.
George Lanthier is our primary instructor, who has been teaching the MA code since 1975, and he keeps everything 'same book, same page!'

This is a combination of home-self study and preparatory exam that was designed for tradesmen who have the knowledge, just never got 'the ticket'. The program is very affordable and does not require that you spend up to a month or more in a school you don't need! These classes will be scheduled 3 times a year, or as required, and are held in Fiskdale (W. Sturbridge) MA.
